Ten on Tuesday-Bring You Up to Speed

1. We are now living in Wisconsin and have been here for almost a month! We are loving it.
2. Justus is now 16 months!
3. Klayton is getting ready to celebrate his 5th birthday and is in pre-K!
4. I am 28 weeks pregnant! And I "get" to do my glucose test on Friday.
5. We are excited to meet this little guy in December.
6. Klayton has lost 2 teeth while Justus is getting 2 new teeth.
7. Thursday my hubs will celebrate his 36th birthday. Upward swing to 40-he's getting old.
8. A little laugh for this Tuesday, courtesy of Klayton! My mom had a deer in her garden that she told Klayton about. He told her that he needs to get his gun (don't worry he doesn't have a real one) and come shoot. She asked him, "why? are you going to eat it?" His reply, "I don't like deer meat-I like people meat!"
9. God gave those little children to you, Mama-to you. No one else can mother them like you can. You may have your work cut out for you, but you're the one cut out to accomplish it.
10. Have a Happy Tuesday and I am promising to be back this week!

Ten on Tuesday-Moments with Klayton

1. "I am king!" We hear this often lately...whether Klayton has climbed to the tallest part of a jungle gym or simply accomplished something. His ego does NOT need to be stroked!
2. "Catch it with hand!" After watching an episode of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse where I believe Goofy or Mickey caught a fly with their bare hands...it is now expected that Daddy, Mommy or Grandma and Grandpa can do this as well.
3. "Klayton gone. Paint Klayton on picture." Klayton is really fascinated with Joseph and I's wedding picture and that he is not in it. He has come up with a solution to paint himself into the picture...I suggested that maybe I replace it with a family picture someday!
4. While at Wal-Mart a few weeks back an older woman began unloading her shopping cart behind us and my little gentleman without being asked or told to began helping her. I was SO proud.
5. "Road broke the wheel!"
6. "Mommy, you cute!" Yep, he knows how to melt my heart!
7. After finding out we were not having tacos for dinner. "Mommy store get tacos with coins!" He refers to all money as coins and is pretty demanding about the food he eats! He also makes his own tacos now-seriously he is so independent.
8. He now recognizes McDonalds and shouts for it! I think every kid at some point in their life becomes excited about Happy Meals! When we go there he will ask for a Coke.
9. I may be repeating myself on this one; but a few weeks ago we went to lunch at Red Robin. The waitress came for our drink order and without prompting Klayton ordered his own drink and food! He said, "milk, burger and cheese!" As he ordered each item he pointed to it in the menu.
10. "I fix it!" and "I help!" are two phrases that my Mister utters often! I am literally on the sidelines watching this boy going from believing he can do anything and not being afraid of anything to learning, "I scared."

Be still my heart.

Random Klayton

*Yesterday, I was blow drying my hair when Joseph came to get me. He wanted me to see for myself, that my child had undressed himself and decided to take a shower! When I peeked in at Klayton the shower was basically dribbling water; but he was definitely washing his hair!

*Last week in Target, I was shopping the maternity clothes and Joseph decided to take Klayton with him to another part of the store. A couple minutes had passed since they left me be when out of the blue I heard, "MOM!" being screamed at the top of a certain 3 year olds lungs. I couldn't believe that I was being beckoned in such a way, the shoppers around him were laughing and I wasn't necessarily pleased or necessarily upset; but we did have a conversation about other ways to get Mom's attention.

*Klayton has been taking swim lessons for the last 4 weeks-he has two more weeks to go. He loves water and these lessons are giving him even more confidence in the water. I am so thankful that he is getting the lessons and to see improvement, I wasn't expecting miracles by any means; but the progress is neat to watch!

*When he talks about baby sometimes he literally knocks on my belly and then puts his finger to his cheek as says, "mmm". I think he is expecting a verbal response from baby!

*Klayton likes to wear his daddy's deodorant and put hair gel in his hair! He is definitely all about looking good-I'm sure thats where wearing two pairs of shorts comes in when we are at home. And the other day when he appeared wearing his shorts, snow pants goggles I was really surprised to see that his picture did not end up in the tabloids!

*A couple weeks ago we were doing some clothes shopping-I like to stay a season ahead with clothes for Klayton. We found a shirt that I knew would fit him; but he insisted on trying it on for himself. It was so funny because we never realized that he knew that is what you are supposed to do! lol!

Can I just tell you that I love my little mister and that I am daily thankful for him in my life?!

My Lil Helper

Sometimes I get concerned that Klayton is not talking yet; but then I get reminded that he is capable of doing much! For example today we went grocery shopping and when we came home, he helped me unload and put the groceries away. And I don't mean that he was just playing with the bags and tossing the groceries on the floor for me to pick up. He would take an item out of the grocery bag, turn and hand it to me so I could put it away. Items like cheese though, he took out of the grocery bag and put into the fridge bins! Klayton was on the receiving end of many cheers today to encourage him to keep being such a good helper! He really is growing and changing so much these days and I think talking will be right around the corner!

10 on Tuesday

1. We had a wonderful 4th! We took Klayton to his 1st parade, visited street vendors, filled a shirt tote with water as a makeshift pool for Klayton, had ice cream, took a walk with friends , watched fireworks with friends...and that was one long sentence!
2. Yesterdays activities wore Klayton out and I think he is still recovering from that and all his bug bites.
3. We are considering signing Klayton up for swim lessons. He is such a water baby and we think he will love it!
4. This could possibly turn into an all about Klayton post.
5. We are working on the sippy cup and he is doing so good! Were having problems with him holding it though; but we can't complain.
6. I feel so blessed to be a mommy...we waited so long for Klayton and I still get overwhelmed by the goodness of God.
7. Klayton has never been much of a cuddler; but there are moments and in those moments I dont mind stopping everything and soaking it in.
8. Its easy to come up with random thoughts when its all about my baby.
9. I've been putting it off all day but once I post this...I. MUST. GO. CLEAN. KLAYTONS. ROOM.
10. I hope this found you all having a good Tuesday.

10 on Tuesday

1. Tonight is my Celebrating Home party, hoping for lots of guests and to have a $300 party! If anyone wants to help me with my goal, leave a comment with your email and I will send you the link.
2. I use Klayton as my alarm clock on weekdays, today there was no need as it was between 7 and 730 when commercial lawn mowers were heard outside my window...ugh. Seriously, couldn't they have waited to do their job until Klayton woke up??
3. My first small change towards weight loss this week? No more eating after 8 p.m.
4. Got my hair cut, colored last week and I love it! And the girl I went to even taught me how to do it...I'm horrible at doing hair and now I just might know what I'm doing!
5. Do you ever get home from grocery shopping just to realize all the other things you needed and didn't get? I hate that!
6. I've been itching to scrapbook, so I got all my stuff last night and ended up with a brain freeze. When the ice melts, I hope a creative idea will come knocking.
7. What are your plans for Independence Day? We usually do something low key as a family...I hope Klayton likes fireworks!
8. um, hello number 8 I don't have any random thoughts for you and really doubt I have any for 9 and 10 as well.
9. Klayton loves to pull himself into a standing position with our help. Its funny because when he acts lazy and we go to help him into a sitting position he tricks us and pulls himself into a standing position.
10. Pray for my cousin Daniele as she heals from fracturing her spine. And pray for my moms cousin, Linda as she is in her final days. Pray for comfort.
