10 on Tuesday

1. Tonight is my Celebrating Home party, hoping for lots of guests and to have a $300 party! If anyone wants to help me with my goal, leave a comment with your email and I will send you the link.
2. I use Klayton as my alarm clock on weekdays, today there was no need as it was between 7 and 730 when commercial lawn mowers were heard outside my window...ugh. Seriously, couldn't they have waited to do their job until Klayton woke up??
3. My first small change towards weight loss this week? No more eating after 8 p.m.
4. Got my hair cut, colored last week and I love it! And the girl I went to even taught me how to do it...I'm horrible at doing hair and now I just might know what I'm doing!
5. Do you ever get home from grocery shopping just to realize all the other things you needed and didn't get? I hate that!
6. I've been itching to scrapbook, so I got all my stuff last night and ended up with a brain freeze. When the ice melts, I hope a creative idea will come knocking.
7. What are your plans for Independence Day? We usually do something low key as a family...I hope Klayton likes fireworks!
8. um, hello number 8 I don't have any random thoughts for you and really doubt I have any for 9 and 10 as well.
9. Klayton loves to pull himself into a standing position with our help. Its funny because when he acts lazy and we go to help him into a sitting position he tricks us and pulls himself into a standing position.
10. Pray for my cousin Daniele as she heals from fracturing her spine. And pray for my moms cousin, Linda as she is in her final days. Pray for comfort.

Grocery Shopping

My favorite grocery store in Sioux Falls is HyVee on 57th and Cliff not only because of their great customer service; but because of these handy carts that my baby loves to ride in and he just looks SO cute doing so!

However, I do think if I'm not careful he might just start helping himself to some potato chips while shopping-if he could just figure out how to get them open!

8 Months

Klayton you are 8 months old!
(Look at that tongue!)

You:
*Wear size 3 diapers.
*Are in 6-12 month clothing.
*Have 4 teeth and currently working on at least one more.
*Love to stick out your tongue.
*Love peaches.
*Love to play the piano on the IPAD.
*Love music in general-you are always dancing to it whether its Sweet Hour of Pray or a random upbeat song.
*Love to eat in your bouncer.
*Take everything in, very observant.
*Are starting to reach out when you want to be held.
*Got your first freckle.
*Finally are getting the hang of eating. You don't always lock your jaw or hold your gums/teeth shut so I can't get the spoon through anymore.
*You chatter ALL. THE. TIME.
*You love riding in the "mini" shopping cart at the grocery store, in the top basket if it.
*You love to cuddle when you are sleeply or at random moments throughout the day and mama cherishes every one of those moments.

This month:
You had your first injury that caused you to bleed. You were sitting on daddys lap at his desk and leaned very quickly to far forward causing you to hit your mouth on the desk. This caused a little bleeding on your top gums.
You choked a little on a piece of Gerber Puffs that caused you to vomit. Poor Baby.

Dear BabyLove,
Once again I am sitting here wondering where the time has gone? Time is seriously moving to quickly for me, leaving me trying to soak it all in yet feeling as if I have only just begun to soak it. I'm here with tears in my eyes once again...whenever you see me crying over you, you probably are thinking, "what a weirdo!" But, my love, those are tears of complete awe and wonderment over the gift that God has given me in you! I constantly marvel at His goodness!
Sometimes I have to stop what I am doing and watch you chew on your tan pound puppy's ear! I don't know what it is about that that tan puppy; but you are constantly putting his ear in your mouth! Or I just have to watch you lay on the floor, pulling your blanket over face and just start laughing and dancing...but because I'm paranoid I have to come take that blanket or cloth book off your face to make sure you take time to breath! When I do that you just look at me with the biggest, cutest smile and I fall deeper in love once again. I love you more today babylove, than I did yesterday...thanks for loving me back!
Always with Love, Mama

1. Klayton is 8 months today...only 4 more months until his 1st birthday and I have a feeling its going to go fast.
2. I sold my first piece of jewelry this past Sunday and I have a promise of sale for another piece! Yay!
3. I'm so excited to bee getting my hair done today-its much needed.
4. We had quite the storm last night that even caused our power to go out for a while.
5. One more week until my celebrating home party...comment with your email address if you would like to view a catalog...or if you want to come from wherever you are! Whether it 5 or 500 miles I'm sure the drive will be worth it and you will have lots of fun!
6. I. Must. Take. 8 month. Pictures. Today.
7. So, I gotta admit I love playing NBA Jam with my husband on the wii...I usually play as Wade and my personal goal in each game? See how many times I can push my opponent! Ha!
8. Note to self: there are grapes in the fridge and they are much healthier to eat then milkshakes.
9. Last week, with groceries including meat and other perishables our van decided to die. Apparently, it was the alternator and thankfully was fixed. Un-thankfully lots of groceries had to be thrown away.
10. I think Joseph had a good first fathers day! We bought him a new putter, golf glove, golf balls and took him to Chilis for lunch! Klayton loves his daddy!

Giveaway

I have spent quite a bit of time working on my jewelry making skills this past week and I'm having so much fun doing it. Over on Kellys blog its Show us your life friday and shes featuring what people sell or make. As I continue to make jewelry and hopefully get better and better at it...I would like to use this skill as an avenue to make some extra cash. But, I realize that there are, many people who share this same desire, so I need to start getting my name out there now. I have already selected a business name, Girl on the Go Fashion Jewelry & Accessories! I am also in the midst of building a website for it as well. Right now I only have a facebook page for it and some pictures. I would however love to design some jewelry for you...for example if you are getting married I could custom design necklaces, bracelets, earrings for your bridal party. All you would have to do is tell me what you, have in mind, send me a picture of the dresses and we could go from there! My business email address is, girlonthegofashionista@gmail.com.
But for now let me showcase my piece that I am giving away!

Is this a piece that could accessorize an outfit perfectly our a piece that you just love and you don't mind going out and buying an outfit just to match the piece? Just scroll down for ways to enter the giveaway; but as you scroll check out a couple of other items I have been working on!

Ways to enter:
1. Become a follower, leave me a comment stating that you are.
2. Like my facebook page, Girl on the Go fashion jewelry and accessories.

1. Currently we are in Cherokee, Iowa at my parents. Were here to attend special services that they are having-tonight is the last night.
2. I've spent quite a bit of my weekend making jewelry and working on a website for it.
3. With that being said, I have put off my give-a-way until I have my online store set up so that I can use that as steps in my give-a-way.
4. Have I mentioned how good the oreo cookie jar blizzard is from DQ is? Okay, I'm telling you now it's so good!

7. Klayton is beginning to get a handle on eating, yay! I hope he keeps it up.
8. Speaking of my baby cakes, in spite of being sad that he is growing to fast I'm really looking forward to doing his 8 month post....I have so many fun things to share.
9. I would like tp give a shout out to my friend, Lindsay-happy birthday! I would have linked your blog; but I have no idea how to-do that from the iPad. Anyway, Linds I hope your day was memorable and i love you friend!

My 5k

I am still alive and thankful that I did not have a heart attack after the 5k for the Washington Pavilion this past Saturday, June 4th! Lets recap Saturday!

Here is my 5k companion, Jessica and I! Stretching and maybe a little nervous as we think about what we are about to do; but excited!

The race is getting ready to start and we have decided we probably should have just done the 10 block walk! Lol!

Here we go…just hoping to not be last!

And, 45:48 later here I am! Just crossed the finish line! 31st out of 117 in my division! And Jessica finished about 10 seconds before me!

Cheers! We survived and we didn’t finish last! Yay!

And, of course our finish wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t get a picture with our favorite baby boy!

Jessica and Klayton are buddies!

So, is another 5k in our future? That is yet to be determined!
